Adopt

Find an animal with a complete story, not a sales pitch.

Every listing would show what is known so far: where the animal came from, every vet visit, and clear notes on what has not been tested.

Location search is not built yet. The demo uses sample animals.

The problem

Why listings often leave you guessing.

Many listings read like adverts. “Loves cuddles” says little. Then a dog comes home scared of being alone, or pulling hard on the lead, and nobody warned you. Some animals go back.

What we would do:

Listings would say what people actually saw. If nobody has tested the animal with cats or children, it says “Not provided”. Knowing the gaps helps you decide.

How it would work

Five clear steps. A person decides every adoption.

01You search

Find animals that fit your life

Search by your home, your hours and who lives with you. See what people saw, not sales talk.

02From the shelter

Read their full record

Vaccines, vet visits and habits. Anything unknown says "Not provided".

03A person decides

Talk to a person

Someone at the shelter reads your answers and calls you for an honest chat.

04Face to face

Meet in person

Meet the animal somewhere calm. Nobody asks for a deposit first.

05Yours to keep

Take the record home

The microchip and health history move to you, so your next vet starts with the facts.

Every listing

What every listing would show

Their daily routine

How they sleep, walk on a lead, and react to sirens or bikes.

Health history

Vaccines, teeth, joints and worming dates.

What nobody knows yet

Never tested with cats or toddlers? It says "Not provided".

Where they came from

Found as a stray, given up by an owner or moved from a pound: it stays on the record.

Not sure which animal fits your home?

Answer three questions about your home and your day. You get ideas to talk through with a shelter, not a yes or no.

Staying safe

No deposits. No animals sent by courier.

Real shelters do not ask for a bank transfer to "reserve" a pet. On Rehome you would always meet in person, people would be checked, and any fee is paid at the handoff.

Nobody would be allowed to guess. If a dog has never met toddlers or cats, the listing says "Not provided". An honest gap protects you and the animal.
